C. Joe Egli, M.A., Ph.D., L.P.

Dr. Egli specializes in psychological assessment, neuropsychological testing, and developmental evaluations with individuals of all ages (toddlers through adults). The goals of such assessments are to : 1) Identify and clarify any specific difficulties, 2) Explain how a person is affected, and 3) Provide guidance for how a person can be helped best.  Testing procedures are designed to be comprehensive (covering all of the referral concerns) and each evaluation is specific to the individual person. Dr. Egli engages in therapy with individuals on some occasions, though most of his work is focused on comprehensive evaluations. He greatly appreciates the individuals and families he works with and thoroughly enjoys being able to provide insight and assisting in one's personal growth.

Dr. Egli assesses for a wide variety of concerns (e.g., cognitive impairment, ADHD, emotional/behavioral disruption, Asperger's, Autism, learning/memory problems, personality, substance abuse, anxiety/depression, gifted testing, etc.). Testing is also helpful in clarifying difficult cases or in verifying that an individual is free of mental disorder. He also provides comprehensive parenting evaluations for county social services.

Some of his other experiences include training/working at the world-renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Neuroscience Institute at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, the University of Tennessee Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities, private practice (Memphis, TN and Mississippi), leading a multidisciplinary assessment team at St. David's Center (Minnetonka, MN), and research collaboration in the development of new neurocognitive assessment measures. He often enjoys researching and presenting on cross-discipline subjects, such as the relationship between ADHD and sensory processing in children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Joe Egli practices virtually and in-person at the Waconia, Chanhassen, and Edina locations.
