Andrea K. Egli, M.S., Ph.D., L.P.

Andrea K. Egli, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of academic, behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional disorders. Dr. Egli has over fifteen years of experience providing clinical services to individuals of all ages. Her evaluations include cognitive (IQ) testing, neurocognitive testing, neuropsychological testing, achievement testing (used to determine the presence of learning disabilities or academic achievement level), adaptive functioning evaluations, and social functioning evaluations. Comprehensive psychological evaluations are often used to clarify potential difficulties, assist individuals in more thoroughly understanding difficulties that are occurring, and guide recommendations for the best follow-up care. Individuals may seek psychological testing to determine the presence of ADHD or other executive functioning difficulties, disruptive behaviors, Autism Spectrum Disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, cognitive impairment, learning disabilities, giftedness, memory problems, personality disorders, substance abuse, and more. As an interventionist, Dr. Egli has experience treating emotional and behavioral difficulties, especially addictive behaviors, couples’ challenges, and those struggling with grief and loss.

Dr. Egli earned her undergraduate degree at the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, MN (Magna Cum Laude, Honors in Psychology) and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in neuropsychology at the University of Tennessee Neuroscience Institute and her post-doctoral fellowship in general comprehensive assessment and behavioral treatment through a private group practice affiliated with St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Egli has been a member of multiple professional organizations, has presented nationally, and has co-authored a book chapter and several peer-reviewed journal articles. She has worked at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center providing clinical services to patients and their families. She has also provided psychological services in collaboration with the The Institute of Intelligent Systems housed within the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis and has worked in professional collaboration with North Psychology Clinic in Brooklyn Center, MN, Memphis City Schools, the Memphis Grizzlies, and The Mid-South Junior Golf Association.

Her professional experiences include:

C. Joe Egli, M.A., Ph.D., L.P.

Dr. Egli specializes in psychological assessment, neuropsychological testing, and developmental evaluations with individuals of all ages (toddlers through adults). The goals of such assessments are to : 1) Identify and clarify any specific difficulties, 2) Explain how a person is affected, and 3) Provide guidance for how a person can be helped best.  Testing procedures are designed to be comprehensive (covering all of the referral concerns) and each evaluation is specific to the individual person. Dr. Egli engages in therapy with individuals on some occasions, though most of his work is focused on comprehensive evaluations. He greatly appreciates the individuals and families he works with and thoroughly enjoys being able to provide insight and assisting in one's personal growth.

Dr. Egli assesses for a wide variety of concerns (e.g., cognitive impairment, ADHD, emotional/behavioral disruption, Asperger's, Autism, learning/memory problems, personality, substance abuse, anxiety/depression, gifted testing, etc.). Testing is also helpful in clarifying difficult cases or in verifying that an individual is free of mental disorder. He also provides comprehensive parenting evaluations for county social services.

Some of his other experiences include training/working at the world-renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Neuroscience Institute at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, the University of Tennessee Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities, private practice (Memphis, TN and Mississippi), leading a multidisciplinary assessment team at St. David's Center (Minnetonka, MN), and research collaboration in the development of new neurocognitive assessment measures. He often enjoys researching and presenting on cross-discipline subjects, such as the relationship between ADHD and sensory processing in children, adolescents, and adults.

Bret Schneider, Psy.D., L.P.

Dr. Bret Schneider is an independent contractor and is the owner of Mental Health Solutions. Dr. Schneider is trained as a Clinical Psychologist and is a Licensed Psychologist. He specializes in psychological assessment and psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and families.  He brings a caring, compassionate, and empowering approach to the therapeutic process; whether it is by improving one’s quality of life by reducing suffering, or by helping individuals identify and leverage their ability to maximize their outcomes and achieve their goals.  

Dr. Schneider earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.  He brings a diversified training experience to his practice, having worked/trained at a variety of settings including community mental health, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, primary care clinics, and private practice.  In addition, Dr. Schneider is formally trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through the Marsha Linehan Institute. 

Dr. Schneider works with individuals and families to assess what issues need to be addressed and provide specific steps to move one’s life forward.  His emphasis is in: Trauma and PTSD; ADHD and Learning Disorders; emotional and behavioral disruption; anger, opposition, and impulse disorders; Borderline and other Personality Disorders; and transition/life changes.  In addition, as a Military Veteran of over 13 years, he is attuned to the unique experiences, difficulties, and struggles that affect this population and their loved ones.

Joy Fairbanks, Ph.D., LP

Dr. Fairbanks is an independent contractor (www.joyfairbanksphd.net) and is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents. Common referrals for intervention and/or assessment include adjustment disorders, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delay, learning disabilities, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, anger and aggression, and anxiety. A clinical emphasis of Dr. Fairbanks is providing intensive behavioral therapy through an active coaching model, referred to as Parent Child Interaction Therapy. PCIT has been found to be effective for children between the ages of two and seven with emotional and behavior disorders. In addition to being a certified PCIT therapist, she also provides behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dr. Fairbanks received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN; her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from North Dakota State University; and her doctorate in Clinical Rehabilitation Psychology from Purdue University (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Campus) with a cognate emphasis in Clinical Neuropsychology. She was also employed as a research therapist at the Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center and participated as a team member on a CDC funded grant called Helping Answer Needs by Developing Specialists (HANDS) in Autism. Her predoctoral residency was in the Department of Health Psychology at the University of Missouri (part of the Missouri Health Sciences Consortium) with a focus on rehabilitation and pediatric neuropsychology. Finally, she completed her two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she actively participated in the Dana Neurodevelopmental Disorders Program, psychological assessment lab, intervention-focused rotations, and research with faculty that resulted in publication in a peer-review journal. Dr. Fairbanks is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Minnesota Psychological Association. She is also licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.

Georgia Banks, M.S.W., LICSW

Georgia is honored every day to be a part of her clients’ journeys. While therapy can be enjoyable and rewarding, it is also a lot of work. She strives to create a space that is warm and inviting, and has a counseling style that is compassionate, engaging, and non-judgemental.

Georgia earned her master’s degree in clinical social work and is a licensed therapist who has been working in the mental health field for over twenty years. She provides evidence-based treatments that research has shown to be very effective and are well-liked by clients.

Specializing in individual and family therapy, Georgia enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults on a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, grief and loss, life transitions, interpersonal problems, intimate partner violence, body image issues, and eating disorders. Andrea Simonson, M.A., LMFT

Andrea is an independent contractor and owner of Resilience Yoga+Thai. She obtained her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University in 2017 and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Prior to this work, Andrea built an extensive background in mind-body based practices as a registered yoga teacher and traditional Thai massage therapist. This experience continues to influence her work as she believes strongly in the natural human tendency toward growth and healing.

Andrea works with preteens/teens, adults, couples and families on a variety of life challenges including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, chronic pain, life adjustments, and loss.  She recognizes that the upheaval brought about by COVID-19 has had profound impacts on not only individuals’ sense of well-being but on that of family systems, as well, and she is equipped to help client’s navigate their way to a healthy new normal.  Andrea has a hybrid practice and sees clients in person as well as via Telehealth.

Dr. Steve Plasch is an independent contractor (website for Dr. Plasch). Cinda Gunderson, MSW, LICSW

Cinda Gunderson (she/her) is an independent contractor (website for Cinda) and is licensed in the state of Minnesota as an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has 25 years of experience in the field and holds a bachelor’s degree (BSSW) from the University of North Dakota, and a master’s degree (MSW) from Augsburg University.

Certified as a Synergetic Play Therapist in 2024, Cinda uses play as a primary modality in her work with children. Tanya Sommerfeld, MA, LP

Tanya is an independent contractor and is the owner of Mind, Body and Spirit Counseling LLC. Tanya has twenty years of experience in the mental health field working with both adolescents and adults. Dr. Hovis received his terminal master’s in clinical psychology and his doctorate of psychology in clinical psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School. He also has been a guest lecturer at Wheaton College and Bethel University. Dr. Hovis believes in the importance of being seen and heard; that everyone’s story needs to be understood. He establishes a strong rapport, and in the space created with his clients, begins to explore each individual’s path to hope. Paula Pitterle Ph.D., L.P.

Dr. Pitterle is an independent contractor (website for Dr. Pitterle) and is a licensed psychologist who has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, as well as their parents and families. Dr. Pitterle is passionate about her work and the families she sees, and strives to provide a safe and welcoming environment. Dr. Pitterle has experience in therapy and assessment with a broad range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, autism spectrum, grief and loss, social issues, divorce, OCD, and issues associated with adoption, trauma, abuse, and attachment. Dr. Pitterle provides comprehensive psychological and developmental evaluation, with use of neuropsychological measures as appropriate. Robert Ogren, PsyD, MA, LP

Dr. Ogren is an independent contractor (website for Dr. Ogren). Dr. Ogren is a licensed psychologist who offers therapy and assessment to adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families treating a variety of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, family of origin, grief and loss, addiction, attachment and relationship issues, and more.  He has extensive and diversified experience in wide variety of settings including college counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient therapy, public schools, and private practice. In addition, Dr. Ogren has broad experience in offering DBT skills, and in-depth training for trauma/complex trauma, and a special interest and experience in spirituality receiving an M.A (2010) in Spiritual Formation. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology in Los Angeles, California.

Abby is an independent contractor (website for Abby). She received her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas and is currently a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Minnesota. Abby specializes in providing psychotherapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with a variety of issues, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, emotion regulation, and more. Abby has experience providing therapy in residential, day treatment, and outpatient settings for both children and adults. 

Abby’s background includes considerable experience working with clients struggling with eating disorders, and has extensive experience providing Family-Based Treatment for adolescents with eating disorders. In addition to her narrative, person-centered approach, Abby utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to meet client’s where they are and build a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters a supportive environment for change.

Scott Hanneman, PhD, LP

Dr. Hanneman is an independent contractor (website for Dr. Hanneman) and a Licensed Psychologist. He received a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Iowa with Psychology Honors and Distinction Honors. Dr. Hanneman then earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Louisville, with emphases in behavioral health, mindfulness, stress reduction, exercise psychology, and weight management. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at VA Central Iowa in Des Moines, IA and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in eating disorders and weight management/bariatrics at Park Nicollet in the Twin Cities (MN).

Dr. Abrams completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota, his APA-accredited internship at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and his bachelor’s degree at Dartmouth College. Prior to private practice, he worked for many years at mental health clinics and in central Minnesota.

Dr. Abrams conducts psychological evaluations and therapy with adults 18+ and has significant experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, panic, phobias, obsessions and compulsions, and trauma. Dr. Esterline completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas in 2018, and completed her doctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at Purdue University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. Past work experiences include the Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment and Counseling and Psychological Services, both at the University of Kansas, as well as Mindpath College Health (formerly Acacia Counseling and Wellness) in Minneapolis. In her free time, she enjoys cooking/baking, traveling, exercise, trying new restaurants, reading, and hanging out with her cat, Pearl.

Theresa Gunderson, PhD, LP

Dr. Gunderson is a child psychologist and owner of Growing Minds Psychology, working as an independent contractor for CDS. Through a combination of assessment, psychoeducation, and cognitive behavioral therapy, she enjoys helping kids and teens better understand their difficulties and learn tools to better manage them. Connecting with clients, building trust, and watching them start to feel better and gain confidence are her favorite parts of the profession. Her experience and expertise are primarily in the areas of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, etc.), anxiety disorders and OCD, elimination disorders (enuresis, encopresis), unwanted habits, and emotional dysregulation. She has gained a breadth of knowledge through several years of working side-by-side with various pediatric medical specialists, which has been valuable in understanding when there are also medical issues at play, when to consult other specialists, and whom to consult. When she is not working, Dr. Gunderson enjoys relaxing at home with her family, being in nature, upcycling vintage items, and swimming.

Claire Tollefsrud, MS, LPCC

Claire is an independent contractor and owner of Summerwood Counseling Inc. She works with adults (18+) to target issues such as trauma, anxiety/depression, life adjustments, relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, and postpartum symptoms. Claire also provides marriage and couples counseling, using solution-focused strategies rooted in the Gottman Technique to improve communication, mutual respect, and strengths throughout the relationship.

Claire’s approach is person-centered, collaborative and rooted in curiosity. She enjoys combining emotion-focused therapy, parts work, and mindfulness with the structure of CBT and ACT to help clients with know themselves better and access tools to use in their everyday lives.

She received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Cloud State University and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Minnesota.

Claire sees clients at the Chanhassen location and also virtual services to residents of Minnesota..
